Johnny smiles, his hideous eyes leaking blood. "You can't run, you can't fight, I'll find you wherever, even without my sight!"

"Each and every individual on this planet is important." This generally accepted axiom is expressed often and with measurable force. Toay, I have tediously prepared a small number of interesting points to help us, as invaluable individuals, to understand what we must do to radically impact the reality we all live and breathe. 1) Our opinions are unique, and yet each are of inceredible value. 2) Impacting our reality radically requires sharing these opinions. 3) Nothing will change for the better if we do not fight for what we believe in, no matter what that is. I have an uncle that thanks God every day for giving businessman Donald Trump the authority to fix this country by treating it like the business it is. My boss knows for a fact that inducting an immoral and base man into the presidency will bring God's wrath upon us. She also thinks that proletariots shouls not choose for themselves, because they will always choose wrong. My pastor is confident that nothing is more valuable than our freedom. Each and every one of these people are important. Each and every one of these people have differing opinions. Do these opinions matter as much as the individial? I say to you that "Each and every opinion on this planet is important." Today we live in a society that avoids change with an insane amount of effort. Whether we built society this way under the influence and direction of men who play God or not, this is still unacceptable, because it means we do not fight for our beliefs. Everyone I have ever met knows of at least five things wrong with society. Instead of raising awareness, proposing a solution, and driving that solution, we sit "safe" in our fox-holes, ignoring the reports of riots that slip through the censurers fingers. A wise man once said, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing." This day, I declare, "The only possible way for the collapse of society, for the fall of humanity, is if opinions of infinite value go unheard and undriven." My fellow humans, whether you are a majority, minority, or singularity, let your voice be heard! Friends, I have had the suspicion for a long time that pop music is chosen and driven, not by the people, but by the industries. My father disagreed with me, citing some ancient Top 40 show that based the songs they play off of the songs that were requested the most. There was also the missing motive and I din't know how they could pick songs that people would actually like. I have found the answers. These industries are paying radio stations, Pandora, Spotify, iTunes, etc. to play songs they have written subliminal messages into. Not just to play them, but to play them a certain amount. There are studies that show people like a song more after hearing it a couple of times. Do you remember the first time you heard Iggy Azalea or any other pop artist on the radio? It was disgusting. But, after becoming familiar with the song, and being forced to listen to it enough times, we, the dumb people, the common man, begin to like it. We are trapped in a downward spiral. My fathers obselete Top 40 station may have, at one point, played the songs most requested. But then, Tom Whoever, the radio host, is handed a $300,000 check and told to play three songs despite requests. People listen to the station because it has their favorite songs, and are disgusted by the new ones. They keep listening, because their legitimately favorite song is next. The song is played enough times that people begin to like it. They play more fake pop songs. We begin to like those because we hear them often in conjuncyion with the songs we already like.
They are playing us for money. They have certain beats and themes in the music that drive us to spend, influences our descisions, and causes us to become fat and complacent. We are not safe. |
